Born at Constantinople (Istanbul), Pindaros Platonidis was student of the Turkish artist Nuri Iyem. He had his first solo exhibition in Istanbul (1948) and took part in a series of other group shows both in that city, as well as in Athens and Thessalonica. He participated in a number of Pan-Hellenic exhibitions too. In his work he followed realist and expressionist tendencies. Since 1971 he settled in Athens, where he passed away in 1988.
